First Day of Pre-K

Monday was Abby's first day of pre-k. Crazy to think that in just 1 yr. she'll be in kindergarten! Anyhow, she is going to the same wonderful christian preschool she was at last year, and she LOVES it there! She had a great first day and week.

All ready to go. She could not wait to go.

Ashley is ready to go too, waiting on big sister to get her hair done.

Jeff got to come and drop her off with me.

Abby with her teacher Mrs. Magazino (quite a name for a 4 yr. old to say) and her helper is Mrs. Torres. They are so sweet!

B-Day celebration Day 3. Party!!

On top of everything else she got a birthday party! We had an Ariel (Little Mermaid) Pool Party at the clubhouse in our neighborhood! Of course everyone got in the pool for about 20 minutes and it started to pour!! That's when the teacher in me came out, thank goodness I had some crafts and games planned just for this moment that they could do in the clubhouse! It actually worked out real well, though After the craft and game we did lunch, then cake and by that time it was OK to go back out to the pool. All in all, successful party!

Too cute of a cake!

There she goes swimming away!

It's raining outside! Let's make some sun visors! Abby with her friend Meg.

The proud grandparents with the babies of the family!

Opening gifts! The real fun part!

B-Day celebration Day 2! Lunch with princesses!

We surprised Abby with going to Disney and having lunch in Cinderella's castle. I know another Disney trip, but how cool is it to actually go in the castle. At first we met up with Cinderella for a nice photo, then you walk up the stairs to the top and you enter "Cinderella's Royal Table" room! Abby was beside herself!! She was in awe, seriously! I have to admit that I was too! You can see the whole park almost from there! She got to meet a bunch of other princesses there too.

They actually have a pro photographer taking pictures, and you get package of one of the pictures they take with Cinderella, it comes with the whole experience. This isn't it, but it did turn out cute, it was just Cinderella and Abby.
Abby was so good about getting her autograph book signed. She made sure she had the pages ready for every princess that came to our table.

It's a chocolate glass slipper filled with chocolate mousse on an angle cake pillow. Don't you love it! On the plate it was written in chocolate "Happy Birthday Abby". I had to call ahead to the Disney bakery and order this.
Abby with Snow White. Snow White was so sweet with Abby. Abby was so funny, she had the whole picture posing drill down.
Here she is with the hosts of the park! We thought we were going in to just see Mickey, and we got Minnie too! Thank goodness.
Anyhow, we have a ton more pics, but I won't bore you with all of them. She got to meet a bunch of other characters, and she actually was a bit braver on this trip with the rides and shows! Our little girl is growing up. We had a lot of fun with her!

Abby's real Birthday!! Day 1 of birthday celebration

Abby turned 4 yrs. old last week. I can hardly believe it! Our little girl is growing up and being such a good big sister. With all the changes she went through this year, we kind of spoiled her a bit for her birthday. Her birthday actually lasted about 3 days. We probably went a bit overboard, but it was so much fun! It was fun mainly because she really knew it was her day and really got into the whole birthday thing!

Are you impressed? I made her a cookie cake, decorating and all. It was actually super easy.

She got a new bike from Mimi and Poppy.

Uncle Mark had his try at riding her bike. Nice helmet!

Happy Birthday too you...... And she blew out all 4 candles!!!!

A visit from Uncle Mark, Aunt Stacy and Sara!

Mark, Stacy and Sara came to visit us last week from Birmingham. We got to meet Sara for the first time, and boy is she a cutee! Abby had fun having 2 little babies around. It was so nice to have them come down and it worked out nice because they got to celebrate Abby's b-day with us.

Mark with Ashley

There's Sara! Ashley and her had matching outfits ( in different colors) and they looked so cute.

All 3 girls in the swimming pool! Mark has Sara in the floatie, and mom is holding Ashley. Ashley loves the pool.

Checking each other out.

Our Summer Vacation!

We just went on our first official family summer vacation. We went to the Disney Vero Beach resort, and it was perfect! I know we're becoming a bit Disney crazy, but I got to tell you this resort was pretty calm on the whole Mickey theme. What was nice was that, it's just an hour away from home( short ride for baby who doesn't like long trips in car seat), everything was right there (pool, beach, restaurants, etc...), and the convenience of being able to take kids to room for naps and back to the pool and other activities was great! Abby got to do so many things aside from swimming. She got to make beaded jewelry, make a crown, have a tea party, make a paper airplane, go on treasure hunts and even get to have another breakfast with Goofy and Donald!

Abby at the entrance to the resort. They gave her a first time visitor pin with all the characters on it.

This was so cool! The first night we got there the kids got to watch a movie while swimming in the pool! How perfect for Abby, it was Cinderella 3! Abby's the one with her feet sticking out of the water, in a purple bathing suit. Another night they did it again and she got to watch Rescuers Down Under, and this time we brought a bag of popcorn!

Ashley even got to go in the pool. We actually tried the beach for a little while, and it got too hot for her, so off to the pool.

Breakfast with Goofy! They only do these breakfasts twice a week, and we were able to get in on Wed. Ashley was so funny when the characters came to the table she would smile and start squealing. Donald was there, too.

Nap time. Seriously, she is pretty on the money about her nap times, and she just decided to fall asleep in Jeff's arms in the water. Poor thing, we weren't even keeping track of time, but she made due.

Can't forget about Ashley!

Ashley is now 3 1/2 months old now. She's so funny and cute! She's laughing and talking (baby talk). It's funny though because when she gets to making her sounds and you respond back she will go on and on, it actually looks as though she is really trying to communicate with you.

Ashley with Jeff's dad. She's been checking out her hands a lot lately! If there not in her mouth, she's looking at them.

This is funny because Jeff took this picture and it looked like she was counting her fingers! She would just keep putting one finger up at a time and "count"
